How to stay motivated

We all know that no matter how happy we truly are within our lives, at times, life can feel long winded and dull. Sometimes we as humans can struggle to see the main goal and forget what were working towards.

Whatever it is that you’re working towards, it is the main focal point of your life as you know it. Sometimes it can simply feel out of reach and that the journey has thrown far too many hurdles and bullets for you to continue.

1. The key to staying motivated is simply managing your time better

If you know you’re going to be super busy at work this week and you might get slightly behind, plan out your days accordingly in order to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you. The second you get behind with your work is the second you become demotivated and begin to doubt yourself. An ever growing workload will only lead to large amounts of stress and will never be beneficial to anyone. Currently I work 4 days a week and go to school 2 days a week; if I prioritised my time better (although i’ve got it pretty tip top) I would feel so much better within myself and potentially work harder.

2. Start waking up earlier

If you need to get up earlier in order to finish a piece of work or to read your emails then do that. Start pushing yourself to get enough sleep and to wake up early. Waking up earlier can help to re-energise your body and help to maintain your focus. I know I personally feel far better when I wake up bright and early at 5am, as opposed to when I (finally get to) have a lie in and sleep until 9am.

3. Always have a goal in mind

Any goal is beneficial, whether it be to get just one chore done, to reply to at least 5 emails a day etc. Short term goals are just as important as long term goals, if you have a dream, it’ll never become reality unless you carry out the tedious, less attractive steps first.

4. Remember what you’re doing and why you’re doing it

Sometimes when I feel as though I’m having a difficult time with my large workload, or with working pretty much everyday, I get caught up in the smaller issues of life. Looking at the big picture, remember where you’re heading and you’ll be rest assured that this is just a small blip in your life that isn’t enjoyable right at this second. The reason why I work so much is so that I can invest in my future, when I’ve had a bad day at work, it’s assuring to remember that this isn’t forever. That every day I work is a step closer to my own dreams. Try to live in the moment as much as possible, and equally, love it too.

If you’ve got ambitions and goals, consistently work towards them or else they’ll be achieved by someone else.

Happy Wednesday and on a positive note I hope you all have a lovely day!
